Golden aluminum sculpture
15 x 18 cm
The Medicine Man, transformed into its multiple animal aspects, is represented by pre-Colombian goldsmiths in a radical two–dimensional form. There is a complex reflection behind the stylistic decision of the “Tolima” culture (Colombia) goldsmiths of deploying this sculpture as is done in the gold pectoral ornaments.
Following the line of this archaic artistic expression, this work of art embarks on the act of retracting what had been deployed, in order to demonstrate the absolute coherence of that aesthetic thought and its hidden knowledge of what we might call: “dimensional portals”, applying both to figurative expression, as well as to the technologies of trance.
